Bangladesh toured Sri Lanka for a bilateral series in 2017. They also played a three-match ODI series in addition to the Test series. Bangladesh got off to a great start in the limited-overs series, beating Sri Lanka by 90 runs in the opening match.

The match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka was the last match of the 2012 Asia Cup group stage. Bangladesh had to win that match to secure the Asia cup final for the first time. So, Bangladesh was aggressive from the beginning.
In a rain-affected match, Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by 5 wickets. All-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan was impressive with both bat and ball. Besides taking 2 wickets, Shakib contributed significantly to the team's victory by scoring 56 runs with the bat.
1) Mushfiqur Rahim: 144 (Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, 2018)
One of the most famous moments in Bangladesh cricket history came during the opening match of the Asia Cup 2018. Several memorable incidents occurred during that match, the two most notable ones are: Tamim Iqbal came out to bat with a fractured wrist in the death overs of the innings and Mushfiqur Rahim played his career-best 144 runs knock.
