Bangladesh National Women's Football team reached the Uzbekistan capital Tashkent from Nepal early Wednesday to play in the AFC Women's Asian Cup India' 2022 Qualifiers .
On way to Uzbekistan, Bangladesh Women's team played two FIFA Tier-1 Women's International Friendlies against Nepal National Women's team in Kathmandu recently as a part of their preparations for this month's AFC Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers.
In two preparatory matches in Kathmandu, touring Bangladesh lost to Nepal 2-1 in the first match last Thursday and played to a goalless draw in the 2nd match on Sunday.
With the matches, Bangladesh national women's team returned to international football after more than two and half years since playing the semi-final of SAFF Championship with India in March 2019.
Bangladesh Women's, placed in Group G of the Asian meet with stronger Jordan and IR Iran, will play Jordan on Sept 19 and IR Iran on Sept 22, both in Tashkent.

The group champions will qualify for the final round of the AFC Women's Asian Cup in India next year.
After reaching the Tashkent, all the players and officials of Bangladesh team tested for Covid-19 Wednesday morning.
Bangladesh team, which staying at the Amirun Hotel in Tashkent, are in isolation at the hotel till test reports are received.
Subject to the Covid reports, Bangladesh team will make their gym session and ground practices on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the deputy chief of the mission of Bangladesh Embassy in Uzbekistan Nipendra Chandra Debnath met with the players at Bangladesh team hotel on Wednesday afternoon.
