Bangladesh Police FC clinched the BCL title securing 39 points from 20 matches with 11 wins, six draws and three losses.
Uttar Baridhara Club finished runners-up in the league to qualify for the BPL football from the next season securing 33 points from 20 matches with nine wins, six draws and five losses.
On the other hand, two bottom-ranked teams – Soccer Club Feni and Swadhinata KS – are relegated to the DMFLC Senior Division Football League next season.
In Friday’s match, Amirul scored a brilliant hat-trick at 26th, 43rd and 61st minutes for Police FC and converted the 4th goal in the 68th minute.
On the other hand, Shofikul netted the only goal for Feni Soccer Club in the stoppage time (90+2 minute) from a penalty awarded by the referee.
After the match, BCL champions and runners–up trophies for the season 2019 were handed over to Bangladesh Police and Uttar Baridhara Club.
BFF Senior Vice-president Abdus Salam Murshedy, MP, distributed the trophies and medals.
Earlier, a BFF media manager said that the trophies of the BCL season 2017 will be distributed to champions Bashundhara Kings and runners-up NoFeL Sporting Club on the occasion.
Later, BFF said in a press release on Friday that the trophies were distributed to the BCL season 2014-15 champions Uttar Baridhara Club and runners-up Arambag Krira Sangha on the occasion.
