Opener Rony Talukder, who was on batting with 183 runs, completed his entertaining innings scoring 185 runs off 245 balls featuring 19 fours and five sixes while former national captain Mohammad Ashraful (107) hammered a polished 136 run off 251 balls hitting 15 boundaries. Lower order Taijul Islam quick-fired 34-ball 37 runs including seven four for East Zone.
Sunzamul Islam reached a milestone of taking five wickets conceding 115 runs while national coloured all-rounder Shohag Gazi and Ebadat Hossain grabbed two wickets each for 74 and 95 runs respectively.
