Bangladesh Junior Kabaddi team got warm reception for clinching bronze in the first Junior Kabaddi World Cup 2019 at Kish Island National Stadium in Iran.
Inspector General of Police and President of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary announced two squads for SA Games and handed over certificates to the junior kabaddi team in a reception ceremony at the seminar hall of Police Headquarters on Wednesday.
Deputy Inspector General of Police and General Secretary of BKF Habibur Rahman and other BKF officials were also present on the occasion.
IGP Patwary said the incumbent executive committee of BKF is working hard to regain lost glory of our national game Kabaddi. “We have several plans. We have decided to start franchise based Kabaddi league and arrange long-term training sessions for our kabaddi players.”
About SA Games, the BKF President said, “I hope our teams will do well there [SA Games]. We are hoping for gold in men’s event.”
Bangladesh Kabaddi team will fly to Nepal on December 2.
