Twenty-four of the 26 national booters, initially selected by the BFF, reported to team manager Satyajit Das Rupu at Hotel Fars in the city till Wednesday afternoon to join the residential training camp.
Medio Masuk Mia Jony could not report due to the injury problem while defender Yeasin Arafat failed to report as he is now in Nepal with the Bangladesh team to play SAFF U-18 Championship 2019. They will join the camp shortly.
Bangladesh will play Qatar in their home match on October 10 at Bangabandhu National Stadium while meet their giant neighbour India in their away match on October 15 at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.
Prior to the FIFA and AFC meets, Bangladesh team will play two preparatory matches here against Bhutan, which is expected to reach Dhaka Friday (Sept 27).
Bangladesh, put in Group E of the AFC Cup with Qatar, Oman, India and Afghanistan, started their campaign with a 0-1 goal defeat against Afghanistan in their first match at the Central Republican Stadium in the Tajik capital Dushanbe on September 10.
In the remaining group matches, Bangladesh will play Oman on November 14 in Oman, Afghanistan on March 26, 2020 in Bangladesh, Qatar on March 31 in Qatar, India on June 4 in Bangladesh and Oman on June 9 in Bangladesh.
