BPL Football: Ctg Abahani advance to top slot shocking Bashundhara Kings 4-3

Defending champions and start-studded Bashundhara Kings conceded 3-4 goals defeat against Chittagong Abahani Ltd in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at their home venue of Sheikh Kamal National Stadium in Nilphamari on Sunday.
Bashundhara Kings conceded the first defeat in the league losing to Mohammedan SC by 0-1 goal in Cumilla on March 7.
The big budgeted Bashundhara Kings dominated the match by 3-0 goals till 63rd minute after dominating the first half by 2-0 goals. All the seven goals of the match were scored by foreign booters.
With the day’s tremendous victory, the port city team Chittagong Abahani Ltd took a solo lead in the point table securing 13 points from 6 matches while holders Bashundhara Kings went down in the race with 10 points from six league outings.
Bashundhara Kings, which made a dream start in their maiden AFC Cup match on March 11 in Dhaka shocking TC Sports of the Maldives by 4-1 goals, frustrated their home crowd on Sunday.
