Former champions Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club earned a 2-1 goal victory over Saif Sporting Club in the 2nd round match of
13- team Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football 2020-21 at the Banglabandhu National Stadium here on Thursday.
All the three goals of the match were scored by foreign booters.

Gambian striker Pa Omar Jobe put Sheikh Jamal DC ahead in the stoppage time of the first half (45+3 minute) while Nigerian footballer John Okali levelled the margin for Saif SC in the 55th minute from a penalty (1-1).
Uzbek forward Otabek scored the match -winner for Sheikh Jamal DC in the 76th minute (2-1).
Both the Omar Jobe and John Okali were in the 3rd slot in the scorer list netting 14 goals each after Robson Robinho (16) and Raul Becerra (15) of Bashundhara Kings.

Despite the day's 10th win, Sheikh Jamal DC remained at the 3rd slot in the league table securing 35 points from 16 matches while Saif SC went down to 7th place with their previous credit of 26 points from 17 outings.
Star studded Kings poised for their 2nd league title as they comfortably dominated the league with unbeaten record securing 49 points from 17 matches, 13 points ahead their nearest rivals Dhaka Abahani, which bagged 36 points from 17 encounters.
