This has prompted them to be concerned about nothing like coronavirus but winning a game in international cricket as Zimbabwe captain Sean Williams told the media at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Monday evening.
Zimbabwe’s latest defeat came against Bangladesh when they lost by 48 runs after giving away 200 runs opting to bowl first after winning the toss.
At the end of the game, Williams was asked if they are concerned about coronavirus which forced the Bangladesh Cricket Board to put a restriction on vending tickets- one ticket for one person, he replied: “Nothing concerns us but winning a game in international cricket. This is our main focus right now.”
Before the T20 series, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe locked horns in three ODIs as well where Zimbabwe lost 3-0. Before the ODI series, Zimbabwe also capitulated to the hosts in a one-off Test in Mirpur.
“Obviously I’m very disappointed. I think this is for the lack of discipline in the last 4-5 matches. We’ve been making mistakes in the basics of the game,” Williams further told the media.
