A book titled “Bangladesh in SA Games” was launched here on Thursday on the eve of the 13th SA Games’2019 beginning Nepal on December.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel unveiled the cover of the book at a function at the conference room of the National Sports Council (NSC) Tower.
The book written by senior sports reporter Morsalin Ahmed contains the history of SA Games, previously known as SAF Games, and achievements of Bangladesh in the regional sports meet.
The 168-page book the price of which is Tk 500 contains discipline-wise full medal list of the 12 versions of the Games from 1984-2016 that also featured pictures and articles of the country’s 67 gold medalists of the SA Games.
Youth and Sports Secretary and NSC Vice-chairman M Akhter Hossain and NSC Secretary Md Masud Karim were also present on the occasion.
