Ten-time Federation Cup Champions Dhaka Mohammedan Limited shared points with Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra as their first Group D match of the ongoing 31st TVS Federation Cup Football Tournament ended in 1-1 draw at the floodlit Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) here on Friday.
Forward Amir Hakim Bappy, also a member of Bangladesh Men’s U-18 football team, scored for Dhaka Mohammedan Ltd, with a header from goal mouth melee, off a long cross from midfielder Habibur Rahman Shohag in the 3rd minute (1-0).
But captain and midfielder Mohammed Sha Alamgir Anik leveled the margin for Muktijoddha SKC with a powerful long-range right-footed grounder outside the box in the 34th minute (1-1).
Despite creating several chances, both sides failed to widen their margin in the rest of the game.
