Defending champions Bashundhara Kings tasted the first defeat in their 2nd Group A match of the Bashundhara Group Federation Cup Football 2023-24 losing to Fortis FC by 0-2 goals at their home ground-- Bashundhara Kings Arena --in the capital on Tuesday.

With the day's debacle, holders Bashundhara Kings went down to the 3rd slot in the group with three points from two matches after beating Brothers Union Club by 1-0 goal in the opener.
After barren first half, Uzbek defender Jasur Jumaev put Fortis FC ahead in the 71st minute (1-0) while local forward Mohammad Abdullah confirmed the Fortis victory adding one more goal in the 78th minute (2-0).
In the day's another Group A match, Gopibagh outfit Brothers Union Club Ltd outplayed Dhaka Wanderers Club by 8-0 goals at the Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh on Tuesday.
After the match, Brothers Union advanced to the 2nd slot in Group A table with better goal difference despite securing three points from two matches.
Gambian player Mustapha and local booter Sazzad made hattrick scoring three goals each while Rabbi and Elita Kingsley netted remaining two goals for the Brothers Union.
