Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) today (Sunday) announced a 38-member preliminary squad of the Bangladesh National Football team to play in the AFC Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers including Bangladesh-origin Sheffield United’s midfielder Hamza Chowdhury.
Fahmedul Islam, another Bangladesh-origin Italians Club Olbia Calcio forward and former national skipper Jamal Bhuyan of Brothers Union, who did not played in this season also included in the preliminary squad while national coloured forward of Rahmatganj MFS Nabib Newas Jibon not considered in the squad this time.
Bangladesh team will play their first qualifying round match of the Asian Cup against neighboring India on March 25.
