Dhaka, June 18 (UNB)— England made a record team total of 397 for 6 in stipulated 50 overs in the ICC Cricket World Cup against Afghanistan at Old Trafford in Manchester on Tuesday.
This was also the England’s highest total in the World Cup that featured an explosive 148 runs by captain Eoin Morgan.
England’s previous highest team total of 386 for 6 came against Bangladesh in Cardiff on June 8.
India made third highest total of 352 runs in the ongoing World Cup against five-time champions Australia on June 9 at Oval.
Defending champions Australia made the World Cup all-time highest team total of 417 runs for 6 in 50 overs against Afghanistan in Perth on March 4, 2015.
