India captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss for the fourth consecutive time and elected to bowl first against New Zealand in the fourth Twenty20 international at Eden Park on Friday.
India has already secured the five-match series with a 3-0 lead, winning the first three games by four wickets, four wickets and six wickets respectively. Bowling first proved successful for the visitors in all three matches.
Despite the series outcome being settled, the fourth match attracted a full house at Eden Park. India coach Gautam Gambhir has urged his players to approach the remaining two matches as an independent series.
"We're going to leave no stone unturned," Iyer said. "It's important to be ruthless no matter what the results have been so far."
New Zealand will be looking to restore some pride after its bowlers endured a difficult outing in the third T20 in Wellington on Tuesday. India opener Abhishek Sharma smashed a remarkable century off just 35 deliveries in that match.
India made two changes to its playing XI, bringing back Ishan Kishan in place of teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who shared a 133-run opening partnership with Abhishek in Wellington.
Mayank Yadav also returned to the side, replacing Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
New Zealand made one change to its lineup, including Nathan Smith in place of Kyle Jamieson.
