Earlier this month, a two-member delegation paid a visit to Bangladesh to see the health safety protocol that Bangladesh would offer them during the tour. The delegation expressed their happiness after the visit and said that the tour will go on if the CWI agrees on this.

The agreement has finally come when, on Tuesday evening, BCB revealed the schedule of the series. 

West Indies cricket team will arrive in Dhaka on January 10, and during the next week, they will observe a seven-day quarantine. In the first three days of the quarantine period, they will be in the hotel room, and any other movement will be strictly prohibited. But in the next four days, they will be allowed to take part in the practice sessions where no members from the hosts will be available.

The tourists will play their only one-day warm-up game on January 18 at the BKSP in Savar. 

The first two ODIs will take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on January 20, 22 respectively while the third and the final ODI will be played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on January 25. 

After the ODI series, a four-day warm-up game will take place at the MA Aziz Stadium from January 28 to 31.

The first Test will take place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on February 3, and after the first Test, both the team will fly back to Dhaka, where the second Test will take place from January 11. 

It will be marked as the return of international cricket to Bangladesh, with the Tigers returning to competitive cricket a series at home after the Covid-19 hiatus. Bangladesh played their last international game back in March this year.
