But it was tough for the captain Mahmudullah Riyad to take the decision about the Pakistan tour.
In a media interaction before flying to Pakistan, Mahmudullah said it was difficult for him to get positive consent from his family for the tour. However, Mushfiqur Rahim, who has a close family relation with Mahmudullah, said no to this series due to security concern raised by his family.
“It was initially very tough for me to take the decision because my family was concern about the security condition in Pakistan. But they have finally agreed. I am happy that my family said yes to this tour. Pakistan is ensuring a high-level security arrangement for us,”
Mahmudullah told the media at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
“But at the same time, there is nothing important to us than our family. I am supporting the decision of Mushfiqur (Rahim). He has decided on what is good for him. There is always a concern from family so I am also supporting him for his decision,” Mahmudullah added.
