Bangladesh Junior Kabaddi team got off a flying start in the First Junior Kabaddi World Cup’2019 beating Afghanistan by 84-11 points in a Group C match at Kish Island National Stadium in Iran on Monday.
In their next Group C match, Bangladesh will play Chinese Taipei on Tuesday.
A total of 13 countries, split into four groups, are taking part in the junior world meet under the auspices of International Kabaddi Federation (IKF).
Group A: Hosts Iran, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkmenistan;
Group B: Pakistan, Denmark, Azerbaijan;
Group C: Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Chinese Taipei
Group D: Sri Lanka, Iraq and Kenya.
Top two teams from each of the group will play in the quarterfinals, followed by semifinals on November 14 while the final will be held on November 15.
