Bangladeshi International Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman shares the top slot with four other players in the EKA IIFL Investment Managers 5th International Grandmaster Chess Tournament securing 5 points after the 6th round matches held in the Indian city of Mumbai on Saturday.
Bangladeshi Grand Master Ziaur Rahman is sharing 2nd position along with other 14 players collecting 4.5 points each.
Tahsin Tajwar Zia, another Bangladeshi, bagged one point after the 6th round of matches.
In the 6th round matches, IM Fahad beat Indian GM Puranik Abhimanyu (Rating 2580), GM Zia beat IM Srijit Paul of India while Tahsin lost to Gaikwad Siddhant of India.
Besides, Bangladeshi player Marzouq Chowdhury earned 4.5 points and Azher Hossain earned 3.5 points after the 7th round of matches of the EKA IIFL Investment Managers 5th Mumbai Junior Under-13 FIDE Rating Chess Tournament.
