In Tier-1 match, Khulna Division resumed the first innings against Dhaka Division with overnight total 290 for 6 in 91 overs and were all out for 271 in 111.1 overs.
Khulna captain Abdur Razzak, who was batting at 4 on Saturday, scored 32 runs off 58 balls hitting three fours and two sixes, Rubel Hossain made 22 runs off 43 balls with two fours and one six on Sunday. On Saturday, Anamul Haque Bijoy hit 112, Tushar Imran scored 55, Mohammad Mithun 35, Mehidy Hasan Miraz 30 not out and Ziaur Rahman 27.
However, Imranuzzaman and Moinul Islam of Khulna Division replaced Mohmmad Mithun and Mehedi Miraz in the national interest.
Taibur Rahman and Sumon Khan, who took two wickets each on the first day (Saturday), finally grabbed three wickets each conceding 41 and 51 runs respectively while Shuvagata Hom grabbed two wickets for 51 runs.
In reply, Dhaka Division opened the first innings on the Sunday and made a good start with 206 for 2 in 63.3 overs, featuring 125 runs in the opening stand.
Opener Rony Talukder scored 73 off 126 deliveries with six hits to the fence. Another opener Joyraz Sheikh contributed 121-ball 51 runs featuring five fours and a six. One down and last match double centurion Saif Hassan and Raqibul Hasan were batting at 41 and 38 respectively.
Moinul Islam and Rubel Hossain took one wicket each conceding 37 and 42 runs respectively.
At the Academy ground of Sheikh Kamal International Stadium, replying to Rajshahi Division’s first innings total of 201 runs, Rangpur Division resumed the first innings in the morning with overnight total of 32 for 2. They scored 263 runs for 6 in 107 overs when bails were drawn for the second day.
Rishad Hossain of Rangpur Division, who grabbed five wickets on Saturday, was replaced by Nasir Hossain while Sabbir Rahman, Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Taijul Islam of Rajshahi Division have been replaced by Mohaiminul Khan Chowdhury, Iftekhar Sajjad Rony and Saqlain Sojib for playing practice matches against the national team.
Opener Mehedi Maruf, who was batting on 19, hammered 78 runs with seven fours and two sixes. Another overnight batsman Naeem Isloam (14) contributed 54 runs with the help of six boundaries and an over boundary.
On the first day, Nasir Hossain hit 55 not out, middle order Ariful Haque (47) and Dhiman Ghosh (not out 14). Captain Farhad Hossain scored 60 while Nazmul Hossain Shanto made 34 runs and opener Mizanur Rahman 24 runs.
Spinner Taijul Islam and Iftekhar Sajjad claimed one wicket each conceding 12 and 59 runs respectively.
