Dhaka, Oct 10 (UNB) – Khulna Division at stumps with a 50-run lead in the first innings against Barishal Division after the third day’s play in the Tier 1 match of the 20th National Cricket League (NCL) at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna on Wednesday.    

Overnight batsman Afif Hossain [81* off 132b; 8x4; 1x6] was at the crease when the bails were drawn for the rain hit third day’s play.

Replying to Barishal 1st innings of 299/10 in 102.2 overs, holders Khulna resumed the 1st innings on third day with overnight score of 199/6 in 75 overs and raised their tally to 349* for 7 in 116.1 overs where overnight 7th stand between centurion Ziaur Rahman and Afif and shared a partnership innings of 155 off 44 overs.

The bottom-run Khulna’s all-rounder Zia played an innings of 112 off 246 balls, including 13 boundaries and one six, before being bowled out by Mosaddek Hossain on their team total.
