In the absence of the regular coach Chandika Hathurusingha, Bangladesh's assistant coach, Nic Pothas, will assume the role of head coach for the team.

In this series, Bangladesh will face off against the visiting team in a three-match ODI series starting on September 21st in Dhaka. The other two matches are scheduled for September 23rd and 26th.

New Zealand will return to Bangladesh for a two-match Test series after the World Cup, slated to be held in India in October-November of this year. Following the Test series, Bangladesh will journey to New Zealand for a three-match ODI series and a three-match T20I series.//
