Nilphamari's Chomiruddin School & College clinched the Bangladesh Football Federation National School Football Championship 2022 title after beating Jashore's Benapole Secondary School 1-0 in the final at the Paltan Maidan Outer Stadium Wednesday.
Naim Islam scored the match-winning goal for Chomiruddin in the 10th minute. Jilkot Hossain of the team was adjudged the best player of the final.
Also, Naim of Chomiruddin became the highest scorer (seven goals), Sourav Sarkar of Noakhali's Arun Chandra High School was adjudged the best goalkeeper, and Saidur Rahman Rahul of Benapole Secondary School was named the best player of the tournament.
Ali Idris High School of Habiganj received the fair play trophy award.
Earlier, Benapole Secondary School reached the final after beating Suti VM Pilot Model Government High School of Tangail 2-1 in the first semifinal.

Chomiruddin booked a berth in the final after outplaying Arun Chandra High School 4-2 in the tie-breaker as the second semifinal match between them ended in a 1-1 draw.
Fifty-one school teams participated in the regional phase of the competition in eight zonal venues.
Later, eight champion teams took part in the final round at the Paltan Maidan in Dhaka.
