Country’s celebrated golfer Siddikur Rahman clinched the winner trophy of the ‘7 th Paragon Professional Golf Tournament 2022, scoring five-under par (minus five) in three days at the Kurmitola Golf Club in Dhaka on Tuesday.
He received a prize money of Taka 1,30,000 (One lac thirty thousand) as the champion.
Dulal Hossain and Jakir Uzzaman both have played two over par (plus two) and jointly shared the second position.
After the second round, three players --Siddikur Rahman, Dulal Hossain and Zakir Uzzaman—shared the top slot jointly scoring two under par (minus two).
The KGC has declared a par 71 course for this tournament to align with the upcoming Asian Tour to be held in this venue. Usually, KGC is par 72 course.
Mohammad Shamim became the winner in the amateur group scoring eight over par (plus 8).
A total 78 professional golfers from all over Bangladesh took part in this event along with amateur golfers from the National Team and Bangladesh Golf Academy.
Major General Md Zahirul Islam, Vice President of Kurmitola Golf Club was the chief guest at the day’s prize distribution ceremony and later he distributed the prizes among the winner.
Moshiur Rahman, Managing Director of the meet sponsor Paragon Group, was also present at the function as the special guest.
