Bangladesh national football team will play two practice matches against Bhutan national football on September 29 and October 3 at Bangabandhu National Stadium here.
In the FIFA, AFC Joint Qualification, Bangladesh will play Qatar in their home match on October 10 at Bangabandhu National Stadium while will meet their giant neighbor India in their away match on October 15 at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.
Bangladesh Head Coach Jamie Day believed that the two practice matches against Bhutan will give them enough confident against Qatar and India games.
“Both the practice matches against Bhutan will give our player enough confident against the match against Qatar and India. We have still few times before the match against Qatar. We are now focusing on Bhutan’s game. Our boys are ready for Bhutan and I do hope they will play their best games against them.”
Bangladesh is currently 41st in AFC ranking and 187th in FIFA rankings, Qatar is in 5th (AFC) and 62nd (FIFA), India in 18th (AFC) and 104th (FIFA) while Bhutan is in 41st (AFC) and 185th in (FIFA).
