Rangpur Riders of Bangladesh reached the final of the Global Super League T20 Cricket eliminating Lahore Qalandars of Pakistan by 23 runs under the D/L method in a rain-interrupted match at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday.
BPL Franchise Rangpur Riders will play the final against Victoria of Australia on Saturday.
In the day's vital match, the Riders batted first after winning the toss and scored 85 runs for the loss of one wicket in a rain-curtailed nine-over match, with Soumya Sarkar and Steven Taylor contributing 47 runs in the opening stand in just 4.2 overs.
Opener Steven Taylor hammered the match's highest unbeaten 32 runs off 27 balls, featuring four fours and a six, and was adjudged man of the match, while another opener, Soumya Sarkar, quickfired 22 runs off just 13 balls, hitting three fours and a six.
One down, Saif Hasan made a solid foundation for the Riders innings, quick-firing not out 27 runs off 14, hitting four boundaries and one over boundary.
Mirza Baig took the lone Riders wicket, conceding 12 runs.
Chasing a revised target of 111 runs in nine overs under the D/L method, Lahore Qalandars were forced to fold at 87 runs for the loss of seven wickets in nine overs, with Mirza Baig scoring 31 and Tom Abell 25 runs.
Sheikh Mahedy Hasan made the major damage in Qalandars innings, grabbing three wickets for 11 runs in two overs, grabbing three wickets in the first overs.
Zak Chappell took two wickets for 17 runs.
