Dhaka, Sept 30 (UNB) – The Maa Memorial Model Academy emerged boys’ champions and Mirpur Girls Ideal Institute girls’ champions in the Vasavi Metropolis School Kabaddi Tournament that concluded here on Sunday.
The Maa Memorial Model Academy clinched the boys crown beating Civil Aviation School & College by 44-38 points while Mirpur Girls Ideal Institute lifted girls’ title defeating Sher-e-Bangla Govt. Girls High School by 48-43 points in the finals.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder was the chief guest in the day’s finals and later he distributed the prizes.
Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) Syed Shahed Reza, Chairman of the meet’s sponsor Vasavi Fashion Limited Yesin Ahmed Khan, BOA Deputy Secretary General Asaduzzaman Kohinoor and General Secretary of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation Habibur Rahman were also present on the occasion.
