The southpaw signed an agreement with Lifebuoy at the Daily Star premises on Wednesday. During the event, he talked to the media and wished Bangladesh team a successful series.
“I wish everyone will travel to Pakistan safely and return with success. Sri Lanka beat Pakistan 3-0 in their recent tour. Bangladesh team also should win in Pakistan,” Shakib told the media.
Bangladesh team is set to fly for Lahore directly from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka, on January 22 at 8pm (Bangladesh time). They are expected to reach Lahore, Pakistan, at 10:30pm (local time) on the same day.
Bangladesh and Pakistan will play three T20Is, one ODI and two Tests in the series. The whole series is split into three phases. In the first phase, both the countries will play only the T20Is series starting from January 24 with the other two matches will be played on January 25 and 27 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
