A six-member St. Joseph School Chess team left the capital for Kazakhstan on Tuesday to participate in the World School Team Chess Championship beginning in Aktau on Friday (August 4).
The local Marks Active Chess Champions St. Joseph Higher Secondary School Team will represent Bangladesh in the Under-18 group of the World School Chess meet to be played on eight -round Swiss League format .

International Master Abu Sufian Shakil accompanied the team as captain cum coach while five players are: Omar Faruk Sami, Ahnaf Rashid Chowdhury, Nawshad Uddin, Karar Riddho Haque and Abrar Zheen.
Leading School teams of 54 countries are expected to participate in the meet.
