At the lunch of day one, Bangladesh posted 69 for two in 29 overs.

Najmul Hossain Shanto joined Shadman Islam in the second wicket stand and they added 43 runs. They looked comfortable in the middle despite Kemar and Shannon Gabriel were showing some serious pace and bounce.

But during the 24th over, Shadman called for a two but they had been able to complete a single only. While running for the second, Najmul trapped for run-out scoring 25.
