The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a cash reward for the Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team after their recent victory in the Asia Cup.
The young Tigers defeated India by 59 runs in the final, securing their second consecutive U-19 Asia Cup championship.
Azizul Hakim Tamim, the team captain, returned to Dhaka late on December 9 and was warmly welcomed by BCB officials.
Following a board meeting on Saturday, BCB President Faruque announced the reward.
“We have decided to award BDT 300,000 to each member of the squad, including the officials, for winning the U-19 Asia Cup,” Faruque told the media.
