India's Shubman Gill fell to a loose shot, caught by Adam Zampa, giving Mitchel Starc the first breakthrough.

However, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli responded aggressively. In the seventh over, Virat hit Starc for three consecutive fours, quickly finding his rhythm.
Rohit, maintaining his aggressive form throughout the World Cup, took on Glenn Maxwell in the 10th over but ended up playing a poor shot. Travis Head made a spectacular diving catch at cover, marking the catch of the match.
In the next over, India lost Shreyas Iyer to Pat Cummins with a catch behind the wicket, as Shreyas missed a good connection.

After the 11th over, India stood at 82 for three.
This is the second time India and Australia are facing each other in the World Cup final. In their previous encounter, Australia emerged victorious.
