Most Anticipated Smartphones Coming in March 2024

February has been relatively slow in terms of smartphone releases. Several Chinese smartphones made their international debut in February. But it was mostly limited to budget and mid-range options. March however, promises some highly anticipated global flagship releases in addition to the usual budget and mid-rangers. Let’s check out the best upcoming smartphones in March 2024.

Most Hyped Smartphones Coming This March

Tecno Camon 30 Premier

Tecno is gearing up to launch their flagship of the year – the Camon 30 Premier sometime mid-March. The device was officially announced on 27th February with several surprising specs.

Camon 30 Premier boasts a stunning 1264 by 2780 pixels LTPO AMOLED panel with 120 Hz refresh rate. The near uniform front bezel accounts for about 89.9% screen-to-body ratio with a 451 ppi.

Camon 30 Premier will be powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate with a single 12/512 GB configuration.

However, the exciting change is in the camera department. Tecno has gone with an all 50 MP sensor setup (PolarAce Imaging System). Three of them on the back and one on the front. The back camera consists of a wide-angle main shooter, a periscope telephoto, and an ultrawide sensor.

In addition to the 5000 mAh battery, the device will support up to 70W wired fast charging.

Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra

Asus’s Zenfone 11 Ultra has been officially slated for launch on 14th March 2024. From what is known so far, the 11 Ultra is going to be a close rival to their highly successful ROG series.

The 11 Ultra features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with 1080 by 2400 pixels at 388 ppi and an 88.2% screen-to-body ratio. There’s also a 144 Hz refresh rate and HDR10 for seamless content consumption.

The device will be powered by the latest Qualcomm SM8650-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with storage options of 12/256 GB and 16/512 GB.

On the camera front, users will be getting a 50 MP main, 32 MP telephoto, and a 13 MP ultrawide sensor. The front will feature a 32 MP shooter.

As for the battery, the 5500 mAh capacity can be topped up with 65W wired, 15W wireless, and 10W reverse wired charging.

iQOO Z9

iQOO recently unveiled the Indian launch date of the Z9 to be on 12th March.

The most interesting thing about the new model is that the Z series is finally switching to OLED panels from LCD. The 6.78-inch panel is slated to have a 2K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate.

The Z9 will be powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the international variant. The Chinese release may see Dimensity 7200 as its processor.

There’s going to be a dual-camera system on the Z9. iQOO has confirmed that the main sensor will be a 50 MP Sony IMX882 OIS sensor, a first for the Z lineup.

The battery on the Z9 is expected to be around 6000 mAh with 45W wired fast charging. iQOO has kept a tight lip regarding detailed specs. So this is all that’s known about the Z9 for the time being.

Nothing Phone (2a)

It was initially predicted that the Nothing Phone (2a) would be launched in February at the MWC. While the device was announced at MWC, it is slated for global release on 5th March.

Much of the initial speculation stayed true about the 2a with a 6.7-inch OLED FHD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. However, there’s a new design on the back with the horizontal camera placement.

The processor on the 2a is confirmed to be Mediatek Dimensity 7200 Pro. It will come in either 8/128 GB or 12/256 GB configuration.

The two camera sensors on the back will both be 50 MP ones with the secondary one being an ultrawide shooter. The front camera is expected to be Nothing’s usual 16 MP sensor.

The battery on the 2a is expected to be around 5000 mAh. Nothing hasn’t released any information about the charge speed yet.

Vivo V30 Pro

Vivo’s highly anticipated V30 series was announced on 28th February. The flagship V30 Pro is expected to launch sometime in March.

The V30 Pro brings a revamped design on the back. The display will be a 6.78-inch AMOLED 2K panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The all-around curved panel provides an 89.9% screen-to-body ratio.

Vivo went with Mediatek Dimensity 8200 for the V30 Pro. It will come in 8/256 GB, 12/256 GB, and 12/512 GB options along with an upgraded 3.1 UFS storage.

The camera sensors on the back are all 50 MP ones with a wide, ultrawide, and telephoto lens. The front is also a 50 MP sensor. All of these sensors are Zeiss Optics.

The battery on the V30 Pro is a 5000 mAh one with 80W wired SUPERVOOC fast charging. Vivo claims that it can take the device from 0 to 100% in 43 minutes.

OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition

The OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition has been announced at MWC 2024. The device will get its global release sometime in March.

The new variant is essentially the same 12R with some processor enhancements for Genshin Impact. The special limited box comes with special goodies and collectibles.

The limited edition 12R comes in electro violet color with a Genshin Impact-inspired design on the back. The display is the usual AMOLED ProXDR Display with 2K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate.

The 12R features last year’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. There’s a single storage option at 16/256 GB with UFS 3.1 storage.

There’s a triple camera setup on the back with the main sensor being a 50 MP Sony IMX890 shooter. There’s an additional 8 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro shooter, and a 16 MP front sensor.

The battery on the OnePlus 12R is a 5500 mAh one with an 80W SUPERVOOC wired charger.

The price of the special edition OnePlus 12R will be 650 USD or 71,244 BDT (1 USD = 109 BDT).
