The event will take place on November 11 where Oxford University Vice-Chancellor Louise Richardson will also speak.
The theme for the 2019 China-UK Innovation & Development Forum is 'Emerging technologies and the future of economy and society'.
The forum will be organised by Technology and Management Centre for Development (TMCD) of Oxford University, Institute of Sciences and Development of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASISD), Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development (CASTED) of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of China and Association of British Chinese Professors (ABCP).
This year’s forum aims to facilitate discussions on the most recent developments in science, technology and innovation, and its impact on economic and social development, among policymakers, academics and business leaders in China and the UK, according to organisers.
Discussions during the meeting will also aim to tackle a wide range of issues in policy to address challenges in the development and fostering of cooperation between UK and China innovations through intercultural dialogue.
The conversations will include various topics in a multiconceptual world, the future of the economy, industry and technology policy, innovative thinking, human capital and society, and global technology development.
