The death toll from the devastating mudslide in Nepal has climbed to 1,204, with 4,216 people still missing as of 6 p.m. local time Wednesday, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.
The disaster has also left a total of 301 people injured.
In response to the catastrophe, 21,314 security personnel have been mobilized across the affected regions to conduct search, rescue and relief operations, the authority said.
