At least four people died in a boiler blast in India's eastern state of Bihar on Saturday, confirmed a local police officer to Xinhua over phone.
There was a boiler blast inside a building in the Sugauli area of Motihari district, the police officer said, adding relief and rescue work is still going on at the site of the blast.
According to him, six injured persons were rescued and admitted to a nearby hospital.
Meanwhile, according to media reports, the boiler blast took place inside a kitchen of a non-government organization while food was being prepared.
TV footage showed the blast was so powerful that the roof of the building went off.
