Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Saturday underscored the need for creativity alongside technology for sustainable and meaningful development.
"The job market of the world is becoming more competitive and challenging. We must ensure quality education for all graduates so that they can face the global challenge," she said.
The minister was addressing as the chief guest the opening ceremony of the 18th Asian University Presidents Forum (AUPF) at Radisson Blue Dhaka Water Garden hotel.
Daffodil International University (DIU) in collaboration with Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB) organised the programme for the first time in Bangladesh.
Appreciating the organisers of the conference, Dipu Moni said this type of event is important to exchange cultural and educational views among the countries. "This is a significant event for the students and teachers because the participating universities can learn from others and replicate the best ideas at their own institutions.”
World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF) Chairman Baybars Altuntas of Turkey presented the keynote speech at the event while APUB Chairman Sheikh Kabir Hossain, DIU Pro-Vice-chancellor Prof Dr SM Mahbub-Ul-Haque Majumder and DIU Chairman Dr Md Sabur Khan, among others, spoke on the occasion.
