A total of 102,944,487 people have been found infected with the virus with 2,227,568 fatalities as of Monday morning.
The US remained the world's worst-hit country, with 26,185,362 cases and 441,319 deaths, as per the data.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the United States topped 26 million on Saturday.

The United States remains the nation worst hit by the pandemic, with the world's most cases and deaths, making up more than 25 percent of the global caseload and nearly 20 percent of the global deaths.
U.S. COVID-19 cases reached 20 million on Jan. 1, and have increased by 6 million within a month.
Brazil has registered 27,756 cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), for a total of 9,204,731, as well as another 559 deaths, bringing the death toll to 224,504, the Ministry of Health reported on Sunday.
Brazil is second in the world in number of deaths from the disease, following the United States.

Brazil confirmed this month a new variant of the coronavirus in the state of Amazonas, which has increased pressure on the state's health system, especially in the state capital of Manaus, which faced a lack of oxygen supplies to treat COVID-19 patients.
India's COVID-19 tally rose to 10,746,183 on Sunday as 13,052 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours, said the latest data from the federal health ministry.
According to the official data, the death toll mounted to 154,274 as 127 COVID-19 patients died since Saturday morning.

Covid-19 situation in Bangladesh
The health authorities in Bangladesh recorded 16 more new coronavirus-related deaths and 369 new cases in the last 24 hours till 8 am on Sunday.
The total number of deaths from the virus in the country now reached 8,127 while the mortality rate stands at 1.52 percent, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a handout.
Of the 16 new deceased, 14 are men and two are women.

Besides, 369 new cases were detected during the same period, increasing the national tally to 535,139.
Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus cases on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
Vaccination in Bangladesh
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on January 27 inaugurated the much-sought Covid-19 vaccination programme at a city hospital to contain the coronavirus pandemic in Bangladesh.
Health Minister Zahid Maleque said at the launch that “70 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccines are now available in the country. The Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine is the safest one in the world".

For getting a shot, one needs to register on www.surokkha.gov.bd.
For now, the vaccination programme will be limited to five centres in the capital and the nationwide vaccination drive will start on February 7.
