Multiple Iranian missile strikes across Israel early Thursday left dozens injured, including one that hit a major hospital in the country’s south. The hospital reported significant damage but no critical injuries. Footage from Israeli media showed shattered windows and thick black smoke.
Additional missiles struck a high-rise in Tel Aviv and other areas in central Israel, with at least 40 people injured, according to Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency service.
In retaliation, Israel launched an attack on Iran’s Arak heavy water reactor—part of its nuclear infrastructure. Iranian state TV confirmed the strike but said the facility had been evacuated in advance and there was no risk of radiation.

The escalation marked the seventh day of hostilities, following a warning from Iran’s supreme leader, who dismissed U.S. demands to stand down and cautioned that any American military intervention would lead to severe consequences.
