At least one person died after Singapore Airlines flight SQ321, traveling from London (Heathrow) to Singapore on May 20, encountered severe turbulence.
The Boeing 777-300ER with 211 passengers and 18 crew members on board diverted to Bangkok and landed safely at 15:45 hrs local time on Tuesday, according to a post on the airlines’ verified Facebook page.

“Sadly, Singapore Airlines confirmed one fatality and injuries sustained by passengers and crew. The airline expressed its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased,” the post also said.
Singapore Airlines is prioritising assisting all those onboard. They are working with Thai authorities to ensure proper medical care for the injured and dispatching a team to Bangkok to provide additional support.
