Two MI-8MT helicopters and a P-18 radar station were provided by the Russian Ministry of Defense as military-technical assistance to the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan, the report said, adding that a donation ceremony was held Wednesday in Kant town.
The ceremony was led by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan Nurlan Chomoev and Russia's Deputy Minister of Defense Alexander Fomin.
The military-technical assistance to the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan from the Russian side is provided under an interstate agreement, which regulates the stay of a Russian military base in Kant.
In addition, in accordance with the agreement between the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan and the Russian Ministry of Defense, two helicopters and nine units of armored vehicles were already donated to Kyrgyzstan in April.
