Russian attacks in Ukraine have killed at least six people and damaged Kyiv’s Northern Bridge, suspending traffic and causing tailbacks for a third consecutive day, officials said.
The strike damaged the bridge’s road surface and trolleybus cables, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said. No casualties were reported in the bridge attack. Russia’s Defense Ministry confirmed responsibility, saying the bridge was used for troop movements and military cargo logistics.
The attack followed Russian strikes that forced the full or partial closure of three of Kyiv’s six road bridges over the Dnipro River.
Meanwhile, Moldova’s President Maia Sandu said the war was “dangerously reaching” her country after five Russian air attack weapons, including Banderol missiles and drones, violated Moldovan airspace and exploded there.
Ukraine’s air force said Russia launched Banderol cruise missiles at the Odesa region, which borders Moldova.
In Russia’s Kaluga region, Ukrainian drone strikes damaged apartment buildings and injured people, regional Gov. Vladislav Shapsha said. Thirteen drones were shot down.
Russian attacks on Kharkiv killed five people and wounded more than 40, while strikes in Izyum injured three. A Russian strike on a civilian cargo ship in Odesa killed a sailor and wounded three others.
Ukrainian drones killed two people in occupied Luhansk, while a Ukrainian strike in Russia’s Belgorod region killed one civilian and wounded two.
