A fire broke out at a slum at Mirzapool in the city’s Muradpur area on Friday.
Farid Uddin, deputy-assistant director of Agrabad Fire Service and Civil Defence, said the fire broke out at the slum under Panchlaish Police Station around 10:15 am and it spread fast.
On information, four firefighting units went to the spot and are trying to put the fire under control.
It could not be known yet what caused the fire.
Earlier on January 24, about 150 makeshift houses were gutted in a slum fire that broke out in Mirzapool area of the city.
