US President Donald Trump on Friday expressed his willingness to maintain close and meaningful communication with Chinese President Xi Jinping and said he looks forward to hosting him in Washington, D.C.
Trump made the remarks during a private meeting with Xi at Zhongnanhai in Beijing, a day after the two leaders held formal talks as part of his state visit to China from May 13 to 15.
The US president thanked Xi for inviting him to the leadership compound and described his China visit as highly successful, widely noted globally and memorable.
