Ten-year-old boy, Mohammad, has died from injuries sustained in a gas explosion in Dhaka's Pallabi, raising the death toll to three.
Mohammad succumbed to his injuries early Monday at the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute, said Dr Shawon Bin Rahman, a resident physician at the institute.

Mohammad had sustained burns on 35 percent of his body and had been undergoing treatment since the incident, he said.
His mother, Ruma Akhter (32), died on Friday night (November 29), at 11:30 pm, while receiving treatment. Earlier, his father, Abdul Khalil (40), passed away on November 25 at 7:30 am due to injuries from the same incident.
The family, hailing from Banglabazar village in Munshiganj Sadar upazila, has been devastated by this tragedy. Mohammad was the second of three brothers.

The gas explosion, caused by a leakage in a house in Mirpur’s Pallabi of the capiyal on November 24, injured seven people, including five members of the same family. Rescuers admitted the victims to the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute the following morning.
The injured included Abdul Khalil, his wife Ruma Akhter, their sons Abdullah (13), Mohammad (10), and Ismail (4), as well as garment worker Shahjahan (35) and his wife Sapna (25), who were tenants in the house.
Shahjahan has since been discharged after treatment.
