Two paternal cousins died and two others sustained severe injuries after being crushed under wheels of a train at Chandipur village in Santhia upazila of Pabna on Thursday.
deceased were Jamirul Islam, 30, his cousin Babu Munshi, 25, of Kabarikola village under Kashinathpur union of the upazila.
The injured are Momin Sikdar and Awal Ali of the same village.

Locals said Jamirul had a husk business at Kashinathpur Bazar. He along with Babu and neighbour Momin was going to his shop by a motorbike driven by him.
Jamirul and Babu were crushed under the wheels of the Dhalarchar-bound train ‘Dhalarchar Express’ from Pabna’s Iswardi when it knocked down the bike while crossing a rail track at the Chandipur village around 6:30am, leaving the two dead on the spot and Momin critically injured, they said.

Awal also sustained injuries when the bike fell on him as he was standing by the rail track, which has no manned barrier.
Khairul Islam, sub-inspector of Ishwardi Railway Police Station, confirmed the incident, saying that the bodies were handed over to the families upon their requests.
The injured were being treated at a local hospital, he added.
