Police have detained three people in connection with the snatching an autorickshaw after killing its driver in Rajshahi Airport area on Monday.
The detainees are Ratul, Firoz, and Shubho.
Officer-in-Charge of Airport Police Station Shahin Akther said they were detained while attempting to sell the stolen vehicle in Godagari upazila on Monday.
Police recovered the body of autorickshaw driver Sirajul Islam, 65, in morning following a tip-off from local residents who became suspicious of the their behaviour during the attempted sale of the autorickshaw.
The detainees confessed to killing Sirajul and burying his body after hijacking the autorickshaw, said the OC.
Sirajul's body was to Rajshahi Medical College for an autopsy.
