Chattogram, Oct 29 (UNB) – Three suspected members of a robber gang were killed in a reported gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members in Kumira area of Sitakunda upazila here early Tuesday.
The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.
Md Mahmudul Hasan, Rab-7 assistant director (media), said a gunfight between a patrol team of Rab and an inter-district robber gang took place in the area around 3:30am.
Later, Rab members recovered three bodies from the spot and sent those to Chattogram Medical College Hospital morgue.
A foreign pistol, a locally made pistol, 12 rounds of bullet and some local weapons were recovered from the spot, he added.
