A Narayanganj court on Tuesday convicted four people and sentenced them to life imprisonment for killing a man in 2005.
Judge of the Narayanganj Additional Session Judge court-2, Humaira Tabassum handed down the punishment.
The convicts are—Latif, Ratan and Awal of Netrokona district and Shahidul of Barishal district.
Among the convicts, Latif, Ratan and Awal tried in absentia.
The court also fined Tk 50,000 each.

According to the prosecution, the convicts killed Md Daud, a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver of Rupganj upazila in Narayanganj district in a bid to snatch away the vehicle in 2005.
A case was filed in this connection.
