Joypurhat, Feb 6 (UNB) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested four members of a syndicate involved in question paper leak at Boiragir intersection in the district town on Tuesday.
The arrestees were identified as Dhrubha Das, 16, son of Bilash Das of Khanjanpur in Sadar upazila, Arman Obhi, 17, son of Saiful Islam, Arnab Khandaker, 17, son of Ratan Khandaker and Dwip Das, 16, son of Bikash Das of Sadar upazila.
Assistant superintendent Azmal Hossain, commanding officer of Rab-5, said the arrestees were involved in distributing fake question papers through using social media networks in exchange for money.
After receiving complaints from locals, the elite force conducted a drive in the area and arrested them at night.
Later, they were produced before a mobile court led by executive magistrate Shahrier Haque who fined them Tk 25,000 each for the fraudulent act.
